users, independent of age, origin or nationality. Internet users are worldwide
very cordially in this respect - also without regional attachment to the city
"Halle/Saale" - welcome. The team is the Germany-wide first BOINC team
with "BOINCcast",
where further information are available as Podcast about BOINC and BOINC
projects.

Following procedure for the team joining with a
BOINC project is recommended:
Provided that registration and/or team joining
with several BOINC-projects are supposed to occur, then the steps "1.
Registration and/or team joining"
and "3. Project registration of the computer"
with the further BOINC projects repeat. Registration and/or team joining always
occur in an only project-specific way. At a registration with several BOINC
projects attention should be paid, that always the same name and the same E-Mail
postal address is used. This is necessary for a correct project-neutral and
user-specific statistic, otherwise a user-specific sum of the credits and credit
balances of all BOINC projects is not possible.
The protection of the privacy and the personal
dates of all team members is an important request. From that the team activities
are practiced exclusively considering the data protection laws to be used in
each case. The personal dates of the team members (E-Mail postal addresses) are
handled severely confidentially, a transmitting to third party does not occur.
1. Registration and/or team joining:
Reading the rules and basic principles of the
respective BOINC-project on the Internet page of the respective project first
please. Keeping on leading links to BOINC and the individual BOINC projects are
to be found also among "BOINC
projects".
Creating a participant account then with the BOINC-project
of the choice and to join the team "BOINC@Halle/Saale" and/or to join the team "BOINC@Halle/Saale"
with already existent participant account.
2. Download and installation of the current BOINC
client software:
It is recommended to use only the link
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php to the Download of the BOINC client
software. A Download of the Internet offers of various third providers is not to
be recommended with regard to the safety hazard possibly associated with that.
With that it is guaranteed thus that always the most current BOINC client
software stands availably.
The BOINC client software is updated in a current
way and improved. The use of the in each case most current version is
recommended. Regular information about possible updating of the BOINC client
software become also as "RSS-Feed" (Link: http://www.BOINC-Halle-Saale.de/BOINC-Halle-Saale.rss)
availably set.
3. Project registration of the computer
Provided that a project registration of the
computer is supposed to occur with several BOINC projects, following steps are
to be repeated with all selected BOINC projects.

option "Projekt anmelden" in the menu "Extras"
